Answers to common questions about NAPOLEON — Ride & Rest, and how to reach us.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. NAPOLEON has no account and no server. Your rides, stops, checklists, journal, photos, vehicles, service records and settings are stored only on your iPhone. We never receive them.

The only exception is your own iPhone backup: if iCloud Backup or a computer backup is turned on, iOS may include the App's data in that backup. See Privacy Policy → Backups.

How do I add photos to my journal?
  1. Open a journal entry and tap Add Photos.
  2. Choose one or more photos from your library.
  3. The App saves a local copy so the photos stay in your journal.

If iOS asks for permission, it only happens at this moment. If you previously declined, you can change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. The App never uses the camera directly.

How do I log a service for my vehicle?

Go to Garage, open the motorcycle or bicycle, and add a service record — for example an oil change, new tyres, chain or brake work — with the date and your notes. Your full service history stays with the vehicle.

How do I back up my data?

Since everything is stored on your device, your iPhone backup is your backup. Turn on iCloud Backup (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup) or back up your iPhone to a computer regularly. Restoring that backup to an iPhone restores the App's data too.

We cannot restore lost data for you, because we never have a copy.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual rides, journal entries, photos, vehicles or service records inside the App. To remove everything, delete the App from your iPhone: this removes all of its locally stored data. Copies may remain in older iPhone backups until those backups are replaced or deleted.

Does NAPOLEON give turn-by-turn directions?

No. NAPOLEON is a trip organizer, not a navigation or safety tool. Use a dedicated navigation app on the road, and always follow traffic laws.
